Do you remember the last time you choose kindness over hate ? I do.
People tend to recognize my social media presence to be kind, loving and real. But the truth is, I wasn’t always the type of person to look at the glass half full over half empty. Actually, I’ve been both the bully, as well as, the bullied. As a teenager, I wasn’t the happiest. After I had Jayden, I lost many “friends” and had to do grow pretty quickly. Read more about story here -> Teen Mom.
I started looking at life differently after he was born. I wanted to be a happier person for him. Though it didn’t happen as easily or quickly as I liked, I am starting to feel happier with myself . My love for life has continued to grow day by day which allows me to be so open with you and for that I am thankful. Each opportunity I have to choose kindness over hate, I will try my very best to embrace it.
Pink Shirt Day 2017
If Pink Shirt Day is a new term for you, allow me to explain. On February 22, everyone is invited to practice kindness, and wear a CKNW Orphans’ Fund Official Pink Shirt, button, or pin to symbolize that you do not tolerate bullying. Pink Shirt Day has its roots in Nova Scotia, started by two high school students.
